Forwarding orders from Sir Charles Grey to withdraw "the Ashford detachment from Tenderden [sic] as soon as a Company of the Montgomery (ordered to be quartered at Tenderden) arrives there;" adding that he has given Sir Charles Grey his letter "requesting that the Hospital Yard at Ashford may be gravelled."
