Summary
Informing him of Sir Charles Grey's inspection of the Shorncliff Barracks and his subsequent displeasure "with the dirty nasty condition in which he found them. I beg you will inform the Commanding Officer of the Glamorgan of this that he may take the necessary steps to keep them clean in future - Sir Charles likewise says the cloathing appeared quite wore out, nor did he understand they had any other, this I hope will be rectified before either you or I inspect or review them which probably may happen soon after the harvest men return."
