Describing the circumstances under which the carbon typescript of his "Chronicle of Division" was created; listing campers at "Camp Waldport" [a civilian public service camp in Oregon for concientious objectors] in 1944, including Kemper Nomland, Bill Eshelman, Kermit Sheets, Adrian Wilson, and others; noting that Eshelman "typed approximately 10 copies of the manuscript"; remarking that he "doubt[s] that many survived"; concluding, "In my opinion, this would constitute a form of publication, and this should be considered a book."
