Summary
Commenting on how much he likes receiving mail; reporting that he "had some beers ... yesterday afternoon and then went in town to cash the money order and so pay off [his] debts"; remarking that "the town was full of soldiers trying to buy something to drink. This is impossible in Georgia on Sunday but you can't stop them from trying"; adding that "there may be a new character here to write about, which will take the place of [Sergeant] Dunham"; identifying this new character as Sergeant John Pollard, the man who made Cheever P.F.C.
