Summary
Expressing his disappointment at not seeing her "but I none the less applaud your finding an occasion to lie up & give your self a few of those soins that you lavish so much to your own cost mostly on a voracious generation at large. With your passionate pot-boiling & all the rest of it, you are very heroic;" asking her to "ring me up as soon as you return from that healing absence & then we will settle another day;" adding "I don't stir from town - I immobilize with fury."
