Telling her that he tried to call her; reporting, "We came down here [to Camp Gordon] on Friday, .... arguing all the time about where we were going"; remarking that no one from Camp Croft ended up in the same barracks and everyone is "homesick for Camp Croft and Sergeant Dunham"; describing Camp Gordon as " a new, big, good-looking camp"; reporting that they went into Augusta last night; asking if [Maxim] Lieber sent her the $45 and if she has heard "any news from Colliers on the other story"; noting that "there's an airport here and if [Collier's] buy[s] the story [she] can fly down"; mentioning that he may be eligible for a three-day weekend pass and commenting on his plans for getting to New York if he does get a pass.
