Summary
Thanking her for her "wonderful" letter about Jones Beach because it reminded him that "this can't go on forever" and they will "be back on Jones Beach together soon"; complaining that he was given K.P. again and "there isn't much left of" him; noting that he went into Spartanburg and "it was so dreary that [he] didn't even have a drink"; remarking that Bill Maxwell "thinks he knows some people in Spartanburg"; adding that the stamps he bought in Spartanburg are "stuck together" so he hasn't been able to mail the story yet.
