Congratulating him on the marriage of his sister [Marie-Elisabeth du Trousset d'Héricourt]; lamenting his father's illness; telling him of a letter that she has received from Mlle de Poirier, whose letters she greatly admires; worrying that she will not be able to respond well enough; discussing style and asking for help from M. d'Héricourt with the editing and delivery of her reply; explaining that Belombre is very isolated and that she is going to be alone with the chevalier de Castellane [Boniface de Castellane Esparron]; recounting that Ligondès [Claude-Hilaire, chevalier de Ligondez] is going to Bandol, that M. [Jean-François] de la Boulie, [seigneur d'Aigalades] will receive Mme de Montauban [Françoise d'Yse de Saléon] and that Dantelmy is in Aix.
