Summary
Noting that he wrote Temple a letter of twelve pages and has not heard from him since then; describing his sons' "severe rash fever"; remarking that he has resolved to send his younger son to Westminster School; adding that he and [Edmond] Malone have revised about half of his "Life of Johnson," and the book "is at last fairly in the Press"; describing how a printer calculates the length of a book; reporting that his book is going to be about 800 pages; encouraging him to contribute money to the monument to Samuel Johnson.
