Reporting that his brother John was recently near Temple's house but did not stop to visit him; adding that John "dissagreed [sic] with [his] father's Lady; and so is gone back to reside at Newcastle with Dr. Wilson"; telling him that Samuel Johnson was not able to come to Scotland this year but told him, "I am very sincere in my intention to pay the visit and take the ramble"; discussing shared acquaintances.
