Reporting that he received his "letter wanting £15" and is sending the money via "the enclosed Bankbill"; remarking that he is "glad" to be "rid of [Miss Blair]"; adding that he has "renewed [his] correspondence" with his "charming Dutchwoman" and has "begg[ed]" his father "for permission to go over to Utrecht just now"; noting that his "Book [An Account of Corsica] has amazing celebrity" and he has received letters about it from Lord [George] Lyttelton, [Horace] Walpole, [Catharine] Macaulay, and [David] Garrick.
