Wishing they could meet, but noting that "this is Session time" which "of necessity enslave[s him] more or less"; commenting on the "Douglas Cause"; hoping Temple can visit Edinburgh next week; reporting that Lord Hales [David Dalrymple] has given him "seven folio pages of Remarks" upon his Account of Corsica; stressing that he wants Temple to "see [his] charming Bride"; adding that Sir Alexander Dick wants to meet him.
