Summary
Commenting on shared acquaintances; noting that he had to "let [Bob] have another guinea"; reporting that he received from his father "a larget packet ... with [his] letter of Credit, and several letters of Recommendation to different People in Holland"; adding that his allowance is to be "240£ a year. That is not a great Allowance; but with oeconomy I may live very well upon it: For, Holland is a cheap Country"; noting that he feels "a good deal of uneasiness at the thoughts of quitting the Place [London] where [his] Affection is truly centered"; mentioning that [John] Wilkes has given him some franks.
