Summary
Commenting on his efforts to clear his name in the recent mutiny at Gibraltar; giving details of his meetings with the Duke of York and various members of the Cabinet; noting that he would like to have a position for Wetherall, but there is little chance of this since he "see[s] no prospect of [his] being employed, at all, for there seems to be no disposition to place [him]"; promising to "make immediate application to [his] friend General Harcourt to admit [Wetherall's] son Edward into the junior department of the Royal Military College at Marlow"; expressing his concern about the poor health of Lady [John] Wentworth and suggesting that she should return to England to "try British air"; asking him to answer letters for him and giving detailed descriptions of what Wetherall should write to each person.
