Summary
Noting that he received the writer's letter informing him that his poem ("The Wind of March"?) "will be published in the Easter number of the Independent"; telling him that he has "made a change in it to adapt it in some slight degree to the general tenure [i.e. tenor] of the paper"; commenting on "what a splendid array of great names has graced [the recipient's] celebration"; observing that he forgot to enclose a check in his last letter.
