Summary
Reporting that Lady Glengall "has been seeking a way to" Wellesley "for more than a twelvemonth past"; noting that he has "contrived, without incivility, to baffle her ladyship's approaches" because he "particularly dislike[s] interfering in anyone's business ... & particularly in local, Irish, politicks"; forwarding a letter from her because he is "not prepared to return to the writer with a positive refusal to bring [the letter] under [Wellesley's] notice"; commenting on Lord [Richard Butler] Glengall's "Catholick politicks" and his suitability for "the Colonelcy of the Militia"; referring to the "anticipated demise of Col. [William] Bagwell."
