Summary
A follow-up letter to his note of Sept. 26 (MA 854.18) to clarify that he wants Wellesley to comment on his letter to Lord Lowther: "I meant to desire you to point out any thing that might strike you as giving either not a perfect or not a just representation of what has past, -- to which I of course mean to add, any thing that may appear to you ... to impute blame, instead of merely stating facts, & opinions"; expressing regret that Wellesley will not be able to attend a dinner he is hosting.
