Summary
Writing that his health is not yet reestablished, but that he is following a regimen that is helping him to regain his strength; promising that he is working less and only on projects that he enjoys; hoping to see M. de Ruffey in Paris, though he will not be able to travel before late February or March; asserting his faith in medicine, with which M. de Ruffey does not completely agree; discussing the suppression of the Parlement of Burgundy and the role of M. de Ruffey's son, Frédéric-Henri-Richard de Ruffey, in the new Parlement; alluding to the exile of M. [Charles] de Brosses.
