Summary
Explaining that he did everything in his power to convince M. [Pierre] Daubenton to pay M. de Ruffey what he owes but that M. Daubenton will only send 300 livres out of the 1200 that he owes, with the rest to follow before Easter; asking for confirmation that M. de Ruffey has received the 300 livres before Aug. 20; expressing happiness that the eldest son of M. de Ruffey is in good health in Montfort, and that he will visit the Buffon family.
