Summary
Apologizing for the condition of the lithograph and saying "if the framers cannot smooth it out send it back to me & you shall have another;" adding that he has been "very hard at it, rather suffering from perverse pictures which take the wrong turnings so have felt rather depressed - However I hope to get some good work done before the Autumn;" adding, in a postscript, that he should not pay the Leicester Gallery as this is a "private transaction - The cost is £2.12.6. but do be sure you have a perfect specimen."
