The place of writing, the Château de Marly, was not completed until 1684; the letter must have been written after this date but before the death of the Comte d'Aubigné in 1703.

Summary
Writing that she feels better about the battles after reading his letter; asking him to tell M. le m[aréch]al de Villars [Claude Louis Hector, duc de Villars] that she has not written him so as not to take up his time; requesting that he give 100 francs to M. de Ribauville so that he may eat meat; asking him to tell de Lisle, whom she thinks her brother knows, to whom he should give this money.
