Explaining that she hesitates to write to him because she knows that he fills his time with important things; writing that there is no news from [Saint-Cyr]; recounting a problem with regard to accepting new young ladies because the Regent [Philippe, duc d'Orléans] has sent more candidates than they have space; relating that the families of these girls have complained and that there is no longer as much respect for the institution; writing that M. le cardinal de Rohan [Armand Gaston Maximilien de Rohan] is going to Strasbourg and that most bishops believe that he will be able to resolve all problems, but that she is not convinced; explaining that she believes the Achbishop of Rouen [Claude-Maur d'Aubigné] to be still in Paris; writing of her hope for peace; mentioning "lestat de St Remi" and a refusal made by M. Le Pelletier [Michel-Robert Le Peletier Des Forts or Michel Le Peletier de Souzy, both members of the Conseil de Régence]; lamenting the fact that the young ladies [of Saint-Cyr?] are "bien abandonnées."
