Summary
Expressing his worries about the show; "Owing to the long winter & general hard weather or some sort of bad weather it has been impossible to go away & stay in places where I could make new watercolours. Now i have only this month to play about in. I suppose it would be impossible to have the show in June or start it late in May. I didn't say I can't get the work done with luck on my side but it seems better to ask you here & now[.] Another curse is the mounts problem. After all, can you get me any done through you. I am trying to get some made down here but they are so slow. Life there is beset with interruptions. Margaret has been very poorly and cant do much in the house, we're hard up, and all that! Did you like the drawing of Russell Square I left with you. I have made another & may do some more. With the old one you have & some little ones I have never finished we could have a London panel. Its simply a question of time;" asking if he might get the money owed him from the purchaser of Wood Sea; asking if he is putting any of his small drawings in the show.
