Summary
Thanking him for his gift of the "beautiful volume of adventures among pictures...The whole is full of stimulus and suggestion. I like especially the Cornish papers : with their easy human touches and broad sympathetic observation. It is a wonder to me how you find time with affinities various as yours, to get so much solid work done of every kind. I think the goad of curiosity is used by the true spirit to keep our natures fully alive - and it is evident now you feel this perpetual interest in all manner of lives & processes & details;" asking, in a postscript, that he let him know "how your literary project goes."
