Summary
Apologizing for not replying to his letter more quickly and offering an explanation of why she has not written; telling him she would "very much like to see [his] settings and then write to [him] again"; informing him that "with regard to the lyrics in these new books, [she is] only in a few instances giving the exclusive musical right to the composer"; remarking that she "ask[s] a fee from the publisher for license to print the words -- a plan followed by [Rudyard] Kipling & [Walter] De la Mare ..., and probably most of the modern poets who do not want to bind their lyrics to one setting."
