Summary
Concerning a Conder fan he is selling (see MA 5141.29) and the check for it that he is expecting from Carfax; adding that the "H.M.S. Cornwall is returning unexpectedly to Devonport and I have received pressing invitations to a splurge : as well as an imploring note from Mrs. Sargent, who is at Oban, asking me to look after her young hopeful and prevent him getting into too much mischief. I shall be grave, and in loco parentis; but it will be amusing enough;" thanking him again for all the effort he has put forth [to sell the Conder fan].
