Summary
Thanking him "the trouble of selling my Conder fan for me : I wanted to know your opinion of it, but I had not intended that you should have the bother. It is awfully good of you. I hope however you will accept a commission on the sale, when we have got rid of it. I was told I should get about £50 for it, but I can trust you to make the best bargain;" adding that he hopes to go to Paris soon and he has "kept hard at work on an article for the Edinburgh complicated by influenza, both are plagues."
