The manuscript is undated however it did not appear in the Collected Poems of W.H. Davies published in 1928 in which an introductory note says it contains all of his poems written between 1905 and 1928, therefore it is likely it was written between 1928 and the date of publication of My Garden, the first collection in which it appeared, in 1933.
