Summary
Replying to his letter concerning his address to the English Association; saying "I have duly noted not only the honour of being elected, but Church House, Westminster (? 11:30 a.m. on 3 June) and have put down the title of my address as "Not Quite Forgotten". If that is acceptable it only means that I shall speak on some writers who are among my old companions and perhaps have their admirers still in the English Association though generally out of fashion. The little book which you mention as being at Long Melford Hall shall indeed be duly inscribed. I think Mr. White must have mentioned it but I have not been getting round much since one or two little misadventures. I am sorry to have caused you bother."
