Expressing his appreciation for his kindnesses; referring to the Catechisms with Notes and pleased that he has had success with them; saying his family is enjoying his Sermons on Regeneration; saying his improving health has allowed him to spend "four or five half-hours in the pulpit;" telling him that his "Scheme of rendering the female Sex more abundantly usefull in the World, by instructing them how to Educate their offspring, will be a most usefull Service, if you always Set a prudent guard upon yourself, how far to go in particulars, and where to Stop;" commenting on the good success of Mr. Whitfield in New England.
