Summary
Being a letter in 4 parts, two written by Madame de Sévigné and two by Jean Corbinelli; beginning with Madame de Sévigné saying she is still in Paris and will remain awhile longer; relating news of mutual friends and the King's triumphant return; continuing with the writing of Jean Corbinelli referring, in a playful manner, to his rivalry with him with regard to Madame de Sévigné; referring to his continuing grudge with jurisprudence; continuing with another portion by Madame de Sévigné in which she adds that she wishes they could all spend time with those that please them; concluding with a short postscript by Jean Corbinelli saying that the mistake is that he took his sword for a dagger and his staff for his sword.
