Summary
Saying she had not received a letter from him in fifteen months; saying she has been staying with her son and his wife; saying she had been in a carriage accident, almost drowned and suffered a leg injury; saying she arrived in Bâville and was welcomed by her daughter and all the Grignans; saying she found Corbinelli more philosophical and that she is jealous of his freedom; adding that he converts more heretics by his good sense and by not irritating them; commenting that everyone now is a missionary, everyone has a mission, especially the magistrates and governors of the provinces; commenting on the death of the prince de Conti; congratulating him on the marriage of his daughter; in a note, written as a postscript by Corbinelli, he comments on his jealousy of the relationship between Madame de Sévigné and Moulceau and also congratulates Moulceau on the marriage of his daughter and the prospects for a grandchild.
