Commenting on the illness and recovery of Bagot and his children; thanking him for a correction to his translation of Homer's Iliad; noting that he is keeping back the second edition [of his translations of Homer's Iliad and Odyssey] until he has "had opportunity to avail [him]self of the remarks both of friends and strangers"; observing that the reviews of his work have helped him by pointing out mistakes in his translation; discussing his work on [John] Milton; reporting that [Mary] Unwin has been dangerously ill.
