Reporting that he and [Mary] Unwin are visiting Chichely and giving details of the friends they have seen there; discussing his work on Homer; mentioning an awkward situation in which Bagot was visited by "an Authoress whose works, though presented to [him] long before, [he] had never read"; telling him that he has been asked to write a poem for "a Bill of Mortality."
