Summary
Remarking that the book of Homer's Iliad he is translating is so violent that he has had to "discard all humanity" while working on it; observing that he wishes "Homer had applied his wonderful powers to a less disgusting subject. He has in the Odyssey, and I long to get at it"; commenting on reviews of his poetry and various pieces of fan mail he has received; mentioning shared acquaintances; reporting that [Mary] Unwin is also delighted with their new situation; informing Bagot of the death of Mary Unwin's son.
