Expressing his happiness that Bagot has received his proposals; thanking him "for all [his] labours in [Cowper's] service"; reporting that "a very extraordinary person by the name of Fuseli" is revising his translation of Homer; praising Fuseli's knowledge of Greek and his "exquisite Taste in English poetry"; adding that their "old schoolfellow Colman" will "correct the Press and make any little alterations that he may see expedient"; mentioning that [Alexander] Pope also "had many aids" in his translation of Homer.
