Summary
Enclosing the "note in Lord Byron's hand writing" (now MA 62.55) that he promised to Sir Charles Forbes; telling him that the date of the note is "some time in 1812"; explaining that "the signature is one which Lord Byron used frequently after his return from Greece being the initial letter of his name as it was frequently spelt in that country."
