Mentioning that he travelled from Athens to Corinth with the Marquis of Sligo; describing his travel plans in Greece; commenting on the intensity of the heat in Greece; noting that Mr. [John Cam] Hobhouse has gone to England; writing that he "has no particular communications for [her] country, expect [his] surprise at Mr. Hanson's silence, and [his] desire that [Hanson] will remit regularly"; adding that he supposes "some arrangement has been made with regard to Wymondham and Rochdale"; addressing her complaint that he doesn't write enough and protesting that he has "written twenty or thirty times within the last year, never less than twice a month, and often more"; reporting that he is tired of travelling companions as his "nature leads [him] to solitude"; commenting on his travel plans and the servants who are travelling with him; asking her to take care of his books.
