Summary: 

Expressing her gratitude for the "copy of that long Pedigree" explaining that she "only wished for an elucidation if possible of an assertion of Mr. Galt! Have you read his life of my Brother? 1/2 of a Baton or Bar Sinister in ones Pedigree - of which I have big doubts;" questioning Mr. Galt's assumptions and his authority; thanking him for the invitation to visit but saying that she is "absolutely fixed to the spot by the delay of that eternal -- never ending business -- the Mortgage;" expressing her gratitude for his kindness.
