Saying that as anxious as he is to be of help to Sir Stafford Northcote and his family, he "nevertheless felt a Difficulty in bringing the Subject of your Letter under the Consideration of H.R.H. The Commander in Chief;" adding that "All therefore that I could allow myself to do, was to place your Letter in the Hands of Sir Herbert Taylor; enclosing his answer (MA 7360.115).
