Summary
Thanking him and Lady Northcote for his visit at Pynes; saying that should his suggestions "regarding Khartoum, Zanzibar, the Red Sea coasts or the Persian Gulf prove of any value, either in developing Sir G. Clarke's idea (in which, so far as I understand it, I fully concur) or otherwise, it will give me much pleasure. And it will give me still more, should yourself, and Lord Stanley, think well to employ me on any part of the work."
