Summary
Proposing his travel plans for his return to Monticello the following month; reporting that he is "much recovered from my rheumatism" but saying he is "too weak to sit up the whole day, and afraid to increase the weakness by lying down, I longed for a Siesta chair which would have admitted the medium position;" asking her to send the one made by Johnny Hemings and instructing her on how it should be wrapped for the journey on the cart.
