Enclosing a letter for Dr. Cooper which he would like her to forward; reporting on his rheumatism and saying he has "tried once to-day the delicious bath & shall do it twice a day hereafter;" adding that although the "venison is plenty, and vegetables not wanting.....but little gay company here at this time and I rather expect to pass a dull time."
