Expressing his pleasure that Anne and Mr. Bankhead were coming to live with them and that "they think of settling ultimately at Poplar forest. it is a fine establishment & good neighborhood;" enclosing a "scale of vaccine" and giving detailed instructions for its use on a scab but cautioning that "this scab is old, & therefore the Doct'r has not entire confidence in it."
