Discussing a shipment coming to her from Washington; asking that she have a shirt made for him from a piece of linen in one of the boxes and let the rest of that box go on to Monticello; referring to a watch he hoped to give his brother but it has not yet arrived; telling her that mrs. Nourse has sent some Wallflowers for her and "some tussocks of Peruvian grass ....which I will ask Anne to take care of till March, when I will carry them to Monticello."
