Sending him a paper to have "republished in such papers in Nashville as [Lewis] may deem best"; mentioning [Joseph] Gales and [William Winston] Seaton, editors of the National Intelligencer; referring to an exposé by Mr. Kremers, and noting that he has heard it is "strong" and "will carry conviction every where of the corruption of [Henry] Clay & others."
