Concerning the negotiations on behalf of the Prince of Wales; saying "My wishes are to find Him in the right, and to uphold Him, as far as a single voice can against the Tide of popular Opinion, for which no one has less veneration;" referring to Catherine of Braganza and saying "...if People were once satisfied that Catherine is as worthy of even their common attentions, which Bienséance begs to great Ladies, a dreadful Load would be removed."
