Notes
Part of a collection of letters from Lord Thurlow to Thomas Tyrwhitt relative to George IV and Queen Caroline. Letters in the collection have been described individually in separate catalog records; see collection level record for more information.
The letter does not identify "Her Royal Highness" but it is likely that it was King George's daughter, Princess Charlotte.
The letter is not dated but the date range provided in this record is from the marriage of the Prince and Princess (1795) to Lord Thurlow's death (1806).
The recipient is inferred from the contents of the letter and its placement in the collection.

Summary
Relating news of the visit paid to him by the Prince; saying that he "had great Comfort in hearing that Her Royal Highness advances in so promisingly, and not less in observing the Satisfaction which the Prince seems to take in that Prospect. It is indeed of great Consequence to the Nation, But above all to the Prince Himself."
