Summary
Concerning efforts to reconcile the Prince and Princess; saying "In my present view of it, I like the outline of the Scheme you have suggested for bringing them nearer;" suggesting that "inviting Her directly to Carlton House would have the most sensible and dignified air, which the Matter can assume. But of this the Prince is the best, as well as the only Judge. I will venture however to answer for the rest of the World, that They will be too much delighted with the event, to think of the means;" adding in a postscript, "I am aware, that our Conversation, and This Correspondence border too closely upon Impertinence. Therefore I keep no copy of this; and I confide in your Discretion to burn the original, if the Nail will not drive. If it will, I am quite sure the Prince will have Reason enough to be satisfied with our Zeal."
