Summary
Saying he has just learned "the very unpleasant news of the Entry of the French into the Electorate & of the Hanoverians not been collected & therefore finding it necessary to retire; asking that he send his letters to Hamburg rather than Hanover and then to England "as the uncertainty of what is to be the fate of the Electorate renders it precarious the sending letters to Hanover."
